A relic is something that has survived the passage of time. A personal relic is what has survived the passage of time in one's own life — a keepsake. Most keepsakes are emotional and spiritual while also being physical. The portfolio called "Personal Relics" is a visual record of the keepsakes that describe my underlying passion to be alive, my spirit, those things that have persisted over time, that I hadn't paid much attention to, until recently. This portfolio is a prayer of thanks to my own spirit and a celebration of its persistence. It is like opening my jewelry box and seeing all the beautiful gems that I had forgotten were mine.
